A music summit for independent artists who are already running their career like a business whether they realise it or not.
Most working musicians are already running a business. They just haven’t been given the tools to do it well. Raise the Frequency brings the music scene into direct conversation with the gig economy. Part conference, part live showcase. The room Singapore’s music scene has been missing.
A half-day music summit in the evening, because that's when the music industry comes alive.
Expert panels packed with musicians, producers, managers, PR reps, and rights organisations.
Real performances throughout the night, not just talks. This one feels like a festival.
Musicians. Producers. Managers. PR reps. Distributors. Rights organisations. All in one room, for one night.
Feels like a festival. Runs like a business event. This isn’t a typical conference, it’s the room that the Singapore music scene has been missing.
Come in, settle in. A DJ set gets the energy going from the moment you walk through the door. Registration is open and the exhibition booths are ready to explore.
We set the stage with a welcome from the founder of Lokal Kuts and co-founder of The Freelancers Academy, followed by a short intro video on the music industry and the gig economy in Asia, because context matters before the conversation begins.
Before we get into the business side of things, we let the music do the talking. One artist, a couple of songs, and the room is set.
A seasoned musician, a music producer and a talent manager sit down to talk about what it really takes to build a sustainable career in music. The rates, the rights, the relationships, and everything in between.
Take a breather, grab some food, and keep the conversations going. Live performances keep the energy in the room while you connect with the people around you.
A PR representation, an event management platform and a renowned figure from the music industry to break down the things most musicians only learn the hard way. How to build your public profile, get your music out there, and make sure you’re actually getting paid for your work.
We close the night the way we started it, with live music. SHO, who joined us on stage for Panel 1, takes it home with a closing set.
Two panels. Six industry voices. The business knowledge they never taught in music school.
Panel 1 • 5:35 PM
